Funding will enable families to spend precious time together building relationships and making memories. This year has been tough for everyone, but even more so for disadvantaged children living in poor conditions with no space to play.

Situation
For the last fourteen months, families have been more confined to their homes than ever. For young children, the impact of this confinement is significantly adverse. They have missed out on crucial opportunities to socialise & they have experienced family relationships becoming strained. Over 50% of supported families live in cramped, poor conditions with no space inside or outside to play. Free community activities are currently nonexistent & financial hardship make days out mostly impossible.
Solution
With Funding, we will continue to develop free family group sessions and 'pop up' community activities, across Watford, Three Rivers, and Hertsmere, so they are accessible to every family that would like to attend. We will also provide free passes for families facing financial hardship to be able to have fun 'days out' at local farms, soft play centres, swimming, bowling and cinemas. This will enable families to spend quality times together away from the stresses and strains of every day life.
