For the last fourteen months, families have been more confined to their homes than ever. For young children, the impact of this confinement is significantly adverse. They have missed out on crucial opportunities to socialise & they have experienced family relationships becoming strained. Over 50% of supported families live in cramped, poor conditions with no space inside or outside to play. Free community activities are currently nonexistent & financial hardship make days out mostly impossible.

With Funding, we will continue to develop free family group sessions and 'pop up' community activities, across Watford, Three Rivers, and Hertsmere, so they are accessible to every family that would like to attend. We will also provide free passes for families facing financial hardship to be able to have fun 'days out' at local farms, soft play centres, swimming, bowling and cinemas. This will enable families to spend quality times together away from the stresses and strains of every day life.

  • Mum opened the envelope whilst we were there and saw the voucher. At first she thought it was a poster advertising it. When it was explained to her that it is, in fact, for a day out, Mum was over the moon and speechless. ‘It means a lot. A lot. You have no idea how much this means’

  • Mum rang to say thank you but was so overwhelmed she could barely speak. The children could be heard in the background shouting out ‘thank you, I love you’ and whooping and clapping. Mum said that she opened it and saw what was inside (a trip to London Zoo) and thought ‘Oh wow! Are you joking?!’
