As we emerge from the coronavirus pandemic, we have a unique window of opportunity to take action, and ensure there is no going back to a homelessness and inequality crisis for Oxfordshire.

    Situation

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, a critical need remains for suitable move-on options for individuals with histories of homelessness living in emergency and temporary accommodation in Oxford and the wider county. Additionally, the end of the furlough scheme and tenancy eviction ban leave many local people vulnerable to losing housing and employment.

    Solution

We will introduce more affordable, safe and secure housing, and ensure that those coming out of temporary accommodation have access to the move-on, education, training and employment options most suitable for them as individuals.
