    Situation

Imagine you’re a parent of a child with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a rare genetic disease, causing your child to be doubly-incontinent and your washing machine breaks down and you don’t have the savings to replace it quickly. This rapidly becomes a desperate situation. We often hear stories like this one from individuals and families affected by TSC when the financial implications of the condition become too much to carry.

    Solution

Our Support Fund addresses this by providing small discretionary grants confidentially to our community offering a lifeline to individuals and families on low incomes affected by TSC when the financial implications of the condition overwhelm them. With no deadlines, grants can be made as a need arises, often when applicants have nowhere else to turn. Grants reduce anxiety, provide fast, practical help and improve the physical and emotional wellbeing of both individuals with TSC and their carers.
