Every year thousands of young adults in the UK are newly diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. When serious illness strikes, life is cruelly interrupted. Young adults are forced to focus all their time and energy on hospital appointments and gruelling treatments. The impact of such a diagnosis is devastating at any age, but especially so at a time that should be all about living life to the full.
Solution
A Special Day provides young adults with a positive focus away from diagnosis and treatment. It gives them a chance to feel normal again – boosting confidence and motivation to move forward with life. For young adults living with an incurable illness, we offer a final chance to fulfil a dream and create lasting memories with their loved ones.
