Medical Aid Films uses film and media to deliver lifesaving health education and training to health workers, women and communities globally. We are raising funds to adapt, translate and digitally disseminate our vital health education films to health workers and individuals in low-income countries.

Situation
The growing availability of mobile phones and internet access has created new opportunities to deliver life-saving digital health information to remote and rural communities in low-income countries globally. However, many communities with the greatest need for digital health information are currently unable to access it. Most digital health information is produced in English and other global languages and in formats not suitable for the digital channels most used by remote and rural communities.
Solution
Medical Aid Films produces life-saving health education films for vulnerable populations in remote and rural communities globally. We have a digital library of 476 films in 36 languages covering maternal and child health, reproductive health, non-communicable diseases and COVID-19. We want to increase access to our films for the most disadvantaged communities by adapting our content for commonly used messaging platforms (e.g. WhatsApp) and translating our content into more local languages.
