We are a charity that helps children living with a brain condition and their families to discover a better life together. We work closely with families to find out where help is most needed and fund the relevant research to provide health and social care advice and support for the whole family.

Situation
In the UK today, there are around half a million children and young people with brain conditions that result in complex medical, educational and social support needs. By ‘brain condition’, we mean any neurodevelopmental condition that affects the developing brain, including those caused by illness, genetics or traumatic injury. So far we've been able to support some 50,000 children and their families but we need to reach out to the many more that don't know where to turn.
Solution
By working with families, academics and practitioners to fund life-changing research and sharing these findings in a way families can use. Through a network of universities, we support research into; Pregnancy, Mental Health, Sleep, Legal Entitlements, Family Research and Creative Design. Our approach aims to reduce the prevalence of preventable disabling conditions but also to empower families and carers, providing them with the knowledge and support needed to face their daily challenges.
