    Situation

Today, there are over 178,000 people living with or beyond cancer in London. Having cancer is traumatic enough, but the pandemic has added to the distress as treatments have been delayed and surgeries cancelled. Experts are warning that England is at risk of "replacing the Covid crisis with a cancer crisis”. Whilst medical teams are focusing on giving the best possible medical care, they do not have the time to answer the overwhelming questions that come when you have cancer. At Maggie’s we do.

    Solution

Maggie’s provides free emotional and psychological support to anyone living with cancer, which without, can leave people feeling lost, confused and desperate. Our four centres in London are providing face to face support, alongside telephone and video calls for those unable or too anxious to leave home. We have also launched an online programme of support which includes support groups and classes. This combined approach ensures that everyone in London has access to award-winning cancer care.
