We empower underprivileged Palestinian youth in Palestine/Israel with the tools and skills needed to become change-makers. We do this through our Higher Education Scholarship Programme. We also partner with grassroots civil society organisations working in education, culture and human rights.

    Situation

Palestinian students are disadvantaged in Higher Education, employment and achieving equality. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an unimaginable and devastating effect on the Palestinian economy. Prior to the lockdown, almost 48% of Palestinians living in Israel were already living below the poverty line. This is even more dire in the West Bank and East Jerusalem where young people are also exposed to conflict related violence and movement restrictions, affecting their mental and physical health

    Solution

We support impoverished high-achieving Palestinian students to achieve their full potential by offering higher education scholarships in Israel and the occupied Palestinian Territories, and by providing opportunities for cultural enrichment and volunteering activities as well as personal and academic support, and career preparation. In this way we aim to break the cycle of poverty and marginalisation by lifting individuals who will, in turn, lift their families and communities.
