We want to improve the quality of life of individuals and families experiencing extreme disadvantage in our local community by providing practical support. Many individuals and families struggle financially in the run-up to Christmas and find it hard to make ends meet. Their budgets are stretched and things such as new winter clothes or shoes or more heating than normal can stretch that budget past breaking point. To then factor in Christmas presents or a Christmas meal can be a step too far.

In the two weeks before Christmas, we will provide 500 people their festive food pack. It will be a 7-day food pack as well as a choice of ingredients to cook a Christmas meal at home or we will provide them with a pre-prepared frozen home-cooked Christmas meal. We already work with three providers that can supply home-cooked meals made with fresh ingredients and meet the dietary needs of our clients. Alternatively, our packs will include suitable ingredients for a meal and dessert.
