Conflict, economic crisis, and now extreme drought has caused significant loss of life and displacement across Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. 4.2 million people are displaced in Ethiopia , over 60% of whom are women and children . Sadly, the humanitarian response is chronically underfunded and complex. ShelterBox has supported over 50,000 people since 2018. You can help ShelterBox to reach more vulnerable families with the shelter and support they so desperately need in Northern Ethiopia.
Solution
ShelterBox is providing 70,000 displaced people with materials and training to build emergency shelter alongside lifesaving practical items like mosquito nets, blankets and kitchen sets. We know our aid can help families to protect themselves from the weather, regain a sense of safety whilst also preventing disease. Blankets help families to stay warm and kitchen sets can help families to cook warm meals. We need your help to bring shelter and hope to those displaced by the crisis in Ethiopia.
