Christmas can be a challenging time for so many of the babies, children and young people we support, even more so as a result of the pandemic and its detrimental impact. Will you help the families we work with to have a happier Christmas? Could you offer our children some hope?

    Situation

Sadly for many in the region, instead of it being a special time to look forward to, Christmas is another cause for anxiety and stress. Parents shouldn't have to choose between heating their homes and feeding their little ones, yet they are. They shouldn't have to depend on food banks, yet many are. The North East has seen the country's biggest rise in child poverty since 2014, and families are facing real financial hardship. But we are working hard to combat the worst effects of child poverty.

    Solution

Our charity is 130 years old in 2021 and our work is never more needed as a result of Covid-19, with our services supporting children from their early years to entering adulthood. It is vital that babies, children and young people across the North East can access our services and with your support they will. If you can afford to make a donation, no matter how big or small, this will make a real difference to the children and families we help, not just this Christmas but into the new year.
