Did you know over 70% of the UK is farmland? Imagine if that land was managed in nature and environment friendly ways to tackle the biodiversity and climate crises. The NFFN are working to do just that. All funds raised in this campaign through our supporting charity partner, the RSPB, will go to the NFFN to bring on board more farmers and organisations to be part of the solution and influence farming policy to support this vital work.

    Situation

This is a critical time for the future of agriculture and the environment in the UK. Policy decisions post-Brexit will determine whether or not UK farming secures a sustainable future and does far more to help nature thrive. The NFFN is determined to have a strong voice in these important policy debates. We need political and public support to scale up nature-friendly farming to ensure a sustainable future for all.

    Solution

The Nature Friendly Farming Network is a movement for farmers and the public led by nature friendly farmers across the UK. We are working to expand our community further providing an even stronger voice for regenerative nature and climate friendly farming. We support farmers on their nature friendly farming journeys and demonstrate to policy makers and the wider public what farmers can do to help wildlife, the environment and climate whilst still producing plentiful quality produce. Farmers are key to addressing the climate crisis and wildlife decline and urgent policy support is also needed to take nature friendly farming to scale. In addition to supporting us via the Green Match Fund, farmers and members of the public can add your voice to our movement and join the NFFN for free at www.nffn.org.uk. “Now is the time for nature friendly farming to become mainstream, reducing emissions, restoring habitats and supporting farmer livelihoods for a sustainable future.” Martin Lines
