    Situation

Climate change is the most urgent issue of our time. Yet not enough is being done. Children and young people are taking action because the adults entrusted with making policy decisions are not doing enough to address the impending climate crisis. Children, young people and teachers tell us that they do not know enough about climate science to take informed action to address the climate emergency. Woodcraft Folk seeks to address this by working with teachers, engineers & young people.

    Solution

Woodcraft Folk will work in partnership to undertake the following activity, supporting and empowering children & young people to take action to address the climate emergency: - Train teachers and youth workers in climate science - Recruit and support engineers to share engineering solutions to the climate emergency to children and young people in schools and informal education settings - Support youth led green social action initiatives - Empower children and young people to lobby for change
