    Situation

Research shows the direct and indirect effects that Covid-19 is having on the mental health of children, young people and families, as an increasingly complex picture of health, social and financial pressures emerges. Increasing health and social anxiety, grief and bereavement, a rise in feelings of isolation, increasing financial pressures, and uncertainty and fear amongst young people around education and socialising point to an increase in need for free therapeutic and counselling services.

    Solution

As the incidence of mental ill health escalates, WLAC understands the importance of continuing to deliver free, time-unlimited, solution-focused, strengths-based counselling and therapy services. This Programme is made up of a range of therapy services including Group Work (ParenTalk, Dads Matter, Mindfulness) and 1:1 services for parents and families. We work with the whole family in order to effect long term change, and allow children to fulfil their potential.
