In Newham over 50% of children and young people live in poverty and can't afford to take part in regular stimulating, positive activities which has been compounded by Covid-19 and subsequent lockdowns. Lack of good digital access has led to students falling behind & widening gaps in attainment. Many children don't have any access points to creative careers which are on their doorstep, and opportunities which could be so beneficial to their lives.

We will continue to deliver a range of arts projects across Newham and East London for children and young people that will encourage and inspire them to try and excel at new creative activities. We have a flagship youth choir NewYVC which is open to everyone, who deliver choir sessions in schools and our project Creative Schools brokers school projects between East London’s exceptional arts organisations and schools so that students regardless of means have access to the best culture available.
