    Situation

For young people already falling behind, the Covid-19 crisis has exacerbated existing challenges. They need our support to return to a better ‘normal’. Disadvantaged young people are 18 months behind at age 16 and the pandemic has undone 10 years of work to close this gap. 54% have become increasingly anxious and 1 in 6 now have a mental health condition (50% higher than 2017). Catch-up lessons won’t work without improvements in mental wellbeing and motivation to re-engage in education.

    Solution

Your donation provides young people with 10 sessions of 1:1 Power2 Rediscover support from our trained facilitators. Our curriculum is evidence based, and built to tackle anxiety, isolation and many other challenges. This improves young people’s mental wellbeing and confidence: wellbeing = engagement = attainment. Participants then access up to 3 years of Power2’s Young Leaders development, employability and social action workshops that help them become the best possible version of themselves.
