    Situation

Children and young people have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. In Haringey, the pandemic has highlighted impact of underlying disadvantage, deprivation and inequalities. Our young people need support to thrive and recover from the pandemic which has impacted on their physical and mental wellbeing, education and attainment and their social and emotional development.

    Solution

We will use the funds raised to provide small grants (around £1,000) to community groups and charities who are supporting young people through the recovery phase of the pandemic. These may range from projects overcoming child food poverty and digital exclusion to projects enabling young people to grow and develop their skills, improve their mental and physical wellbeing and their life chances. Funded projects will enable children and young people to come together and overcome life challenges.
