In our 25th anniversary year, HART is admitting more patients to the hospital than ever before (almost 3500 animals in 2020). We are seeking help to start the planning, consultation and design phase for a new, purpose-built hospital - to secure the future of wildlife in need.

    Situation

Taking in almost 3,500 animals and birds each year - from members of the public and referred by local vets and RSPCA - HART plays a crucial part of the process to rehabilitate and release injured wildlife back into its native habitat. In so doing, we not only mitigate unnecessary suffering but, as the largest wildlife rescue in the county (reaching across 1400 square miles+), we play a key part in conserving species and helping to fight the ever-increasing challenges faced by native wildlife.

    Solution

Our aim is to buy / build and equip our own, professional treatment hospital in Hampshire where expert care can be given to the ever-increasing wildlife casualties seen each year. Having felt the pressure of 2020 with our charity shop closed, we need support with the planning and professional costs required to start our campaign so that existing income is not diverted away from our day-to-day operations. The new hospital will also bring income-generating opportunities, making us more sustainable
