    Situation

Children are facing a crisis:1 in 6 young people now have a diagnosable mental health illness; 93% don't feel fully in control of their future plans; and the attainment gap between disadvantaged children & their classmates is growing. COVID-19 has caused an unprecedented disruption to education, a loss of structure, exercise, & meaningful connections. Those children already disadvantaged are being disproportionally impacted. Their chance to thrive academically, socially & behaviourally is at risk

    Solution

Jamie’s Farm strives to improve children’s behaviour, engagement, essential life skills and wellbeing - the root causes of exclusion. Our immersive five-day programme and follow-up challenges children to achieve in real jobs with tangible outcomes, e.g. farming, gardening, cooking and horse work. Therapeutic sessions help shed negative labels and focus on positive praise setting children on a new path. We work in partnership with schools before and after visits ensuring long-term impact.
