Learning outdoors is an enriching experience. It encourages active learning skills and builds emotional and mental resilience. In 2021, Earth Trust needs your support to deliver new outdoor education opportunities to young learners as they prepare to return to the classroom.

Situation
Following a turbulent year of lockdowns and extended periods of remote lessons, children are having to relearn the skills needed in a classroom environment. This is coupled with the emotional fatigue of being separated from their usual support networks and reduced time spent outdoors. As children and young people return to the classroom they need to feel confident, reconnected, recharged and ready to learn.
Solution
Earth Trust’s outdoor education programme builds confidence, teaches life skills and helps students embrace classroom-based learning. During summer 2021, Earth Trust will provide face to face, virtual and self-led outdoor learning opportunities for school and community groups, families and individuals. Reaching up to 600 children in person, as well as an online audience of almost 9,000 subscribers, Earth Trust will harness the wonders of nature to inspire learners ready for the return to school.
