Funds are required to 'balance the books'; the need to bridge the £4,500 gap between annual income and essential yearly expenditure. Museum closure throughout 2020 due to Covid-19 made the situation worse: no visitors meant no income from entrance fees, shop sales, or on-site donations.

    Situation

Essential annual expenditure exceeds income by around £4,500. The Budleigh Salterton Arts Centre and Museum charitable trust owns the early-19th Century thatched, Grade 2 Listed, building in which the museum collection is housed and exhibited. Upkeep and running costs have to be met whether or not the museum is open to visitors.

    Solution

The problem will be solved by raising the necessary funds through donations. Donations through The Big Give have the benefit of automatically adding Gift Aid.
