    Situation

London’s gentrification means that we have young, compassionate professionals living side by side with vulnerable children. We work with some of these hardest to reach children, many are young carers, have experienced domestic violence or family breakdown. More than ever there is a need for our work - for the children whose lives are riddled with inequality and struggle which has been heightened by Covid-19 - but also for our volunteer mentors who have been identified as the loneliest age group.

    Solution

We bring an innovative approach to the volunteering sector. Mobilising local people as volunteers, we are transforming lives and communities. Connected with an inspirational mentor, each child begins an individualised, yearlong journey of support and transformation. They receive 100 hours of weekly one-to-one support outside of the home and school environment with the opportunity to enjoy activities in their community.
