Treehouse Teens: Sunday and holiday play-scheme club (live and virtually) focused on granting a safe space, building positive mental health tools and offering supportive social forum for young people with mental health risk factors via Drama therapy, DBT Relationships skills, peer support.

    Situation

    Our questionnaire reveals that 50% of children in our network were very hungry more than 3 times a week during lock-down period. 77 % of children reported mental health concerns 100% of children reported loneliness and boredom. 75% of children felt that they were bearing to hard responsibilities;many of them were young carers 70% of children spent more than 10 hrs daily on screen while others had zero digital access. Young people can be particularly vulnerable to the harms associated

    Solution

    TreehouseTeens will be a dedicated live&virtual space for teens during out of school hrs to spend time with peers also struggling with emotionhealth challenges, to get targeted mental health support and also enjoy standard play scheme activities including, arts n crafts,drama,singing,some sports, breaksfast cooked lunch. The Mental health aspects of program will include personal workbooks, peer support, clinical face-to-face and phone counselling during lockdown periods and group workshops.
