    Situation

Help children/YP express their feelings of grief and loss safely. To reduce feelings of isolation, de-socialisation, provide support for grieving families who are disadvantaged or marginalised, and work with complex grief that can prohibit children from progressing in school. Additionally we anticipate that we will support Children/YP who were unable to say goodbye to loved ones. We recognise the traumatic impact of not attending funerals to say good bye as part of the 'normal' grieving process.

    Solution

Delivering bereavement services to meet the assessed needs of all those within the CABS Service. This includes individuals, families, groups and whole organisation community approaches. Allowing for unique grieving processes of family circumstance, culture, language, beliefs and religious background. We will support children, young people (aged 4 to 17) and families through the processes of understanding terminal illness, coming to terms with bereavement and loss by providing art psychotherapy.
