“What we do is provide meals to those who are vulnerable, those who are on the margins, those who need support and help. The National Emergencies Trust enable us to make a difference. We can look back and say that we did something, we took action, we made a difference in the lives of people."
"If we had waited 2, 3, 4 weeks we would have lost a lot of people. So that funding was vital for us to mobilise digitally, from a distance, very quickly."
“With the help of the National Emergencies Trust we’ve started quite an ambitious campaign to get 10,000 pieces of PPE to our frontline doctors and nurses in the NHS. We started to design, manufacture and deliver face visors to the places that need it the most."
The world is in a state of emergency. The outbreak of coronavirus is affecting both businesses and people from across the globe. Many people are suffering, workers are struggling to make ends meet, small local businesses are closing their doors, and social distancing and self-isolation means people aren’t able to visit vulnerable loved ones. People are suffering from ill health, from the economic impacts, and from the effects of social distancing and isolation.
We will work collaboratively with a wide range of organisations to ensure the maximum amount of money is raised and distributed securely, effectively, and fairly to those organisations and local charities who can do most to help those in need. We have built a partnership network over the past few months to provide you with the reassurance that the funds raised will only be channelled through the most trusted and reputable organisations, so you know you’re giving to those who need it the most.
