Nature in Art reopened in Sept 2020, but had to close for Nov and then again Jan 2021. With no guaranteed or ongoing public or private funding, it needs to keep raising funds to stay resilient going forward, open or closed, and to bring inspiration and learning to people during these Covid-19 times.

Situation
The funds raised through this campaign will address the fact that our primary income streams dry up when we are closed. Also, we are determined to maintain our collections and buildings during this challenging time and meet our fixed costs. This campaign will help keep us resilient through Corvid-19 so we can be reopen, when allowed, with confidence and energy, gradually reintroducing our other activity streams, and start new opportunities for engagement (mostly online digital) during lockdown.
Solution
Having never been in debt or borrowed money and with no ongoing or guaranteed public or private funding since opening in 1988, we understand the challenge of limited budgets, yet we have not faced times like these. With support, since March 2020 we have safely negotiated several periods of closure. We will continue to keep all costs to an absolute minimum, whilst trying to raise funds to help cover our unavoidable costs. Our programmes and displays and opportunities can bring hope and enjoyment.
