Situation
The pandemic has affected artists all over the world and has limited live music sharing for our foundation as we couldn't have live concerts presenting music by women composers and also fundraise in order to support more artists and composers. Equally, women composers worldwide have been feeling isolated and the repertoire presented on online concerts has not been representative of equality and inclusion.
Solution
We would like to create a regular online concert series and educational webinars, which would be free of charge to viewers. By doing that we will be creating work opportunities for musicians, introducing high-quality music by women composers by wider audiences and also organise regular online events, which will support the community of artists. We would also fund 8 new commissions by women composers in 2021 and share their new works as part of our online concert series.
