Photo Oxford 2020 was a great success within the bounds of Covid-19, but we were not able to deliver all of our planned exhibitions and activity. We have some exciting plans ahead for part 2 of the festival in 2021 and we need your help to make this happen.

    Situation

The relative obscurity of many women who have and are contributing to photography in different ways since the 1800s. Access to the potential of photography, as an accessible art form, for creative exploration and wellbeing. Access to routes into developing photography for pleasure and as a career.

    Solution

Offering free exhibitions, discussion and other activity to open up awareness and understanding of women's contributions to photography. Providing a platform for exhibitions, commissions, discussion and participatory activity for photography by early career artists. Offering inspiration for involvement in photography as an accessible art form for people of all ages and stages, including the health and wellbeing benefits of creative activity and of involvement in a community of interest.
