Fund A School Veggie Garden

Since COVID-19 schools in South Africa have lost funding and budget cuts means they are struggling. Often the school meal our community school provides is the only meal of the day for the students and so we want to ensure we provide a sustainable low cost to a healthy school meal.

South Africa

Our community school started off very small with one class and then added a class each year and is now in the heart of our community township. Working hard to provide support and valuable skills to each and every student. As part of the day the school has been providing a hot meal, often the only meal these children get each day. Currently this is funded by donations and increasing students comes increasing costs.

Working with the school they have lead and designed a project that will install a veggie garden around a classroom to not only provide a sustainable healthy option for school meals but also engage the students in rural and veggie growing techniques that will also enhance the community. The school is working hard to fundraise the local salary of a local garden ambassador to help this project and we. are. actively fundraising to kick off this partnership project.
