Situation
We are solving the problem of isolation and loneliness which is well researched and documented to be as damaging to health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Loneliness can affect people of any age and at any time of their life. During lock down during the Corona virus outbreak, many more people than ever before are experiencing the affects of loneliness and the of loss of human contact.
Solution
With a dedicated team of staff and an army of volunteers, we can provide friendship via the phone, face to face, on doorsteps, through written communication and once lock down is over, through our daily clubs and activities which are designed to foster friendship and fun. We are not trained professional carers but instead understand the importance of social connectivity, kindness, genuine interest and compassion. In essence we are 'friends' and have a genuine interest in improving lives.
