Situation
Lack of community space in Acton/Chiswick. Young people have nowhere to go and so spend time on the streets and in the parks often causing trouble. Ten years ago my son was subject to such young people with nowhere to go and nothing better to do and they shot him in the face. We want to help prevent crime amongst young people by giving them a way out. We also want to have the centre available for the whole community when W4 Youth is not using the centre between 8am and 3pm daily.
Solution
Sports & recreation clubs and activities seven days a week between the hours of 4pm - 10pm. For the hours of 8am to 3pm the youth & community centre will be open to the community. We also plan to house a nursery in part of the centre for the local people.
