Situation
Facing the prospect that your child will die is something no parent can ever truly prepare for. When time is short, specialised end of life care is essential to ensuring families have time and space to say goodbye in the way that is right for them. Especially for those families who face a very sudden or early loss, it is vital that the child and their parents, siblings and other family members receive the appropriate practical, emotional, and spiritual care, as well as bereavement support.
Solution
EACH aim to support all the family’s needs during end of life care, and beyond. Our care team manage difficult symptoms and pain, keeping the child comfortable. We help families plan; having conversations about topics like funerals and care of the body. Counselling, spiritual care, wellbeing activities and support groups are all available for the whole family. We also enable memory making; creating artwork, photos and special events for families to make important memories and keepsakes together.
