  • “Before, I wasn’t washing my hands correctly. After CARE awareness, I wash them correctly and I have started to teach my friends.”

Situation

In places like the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh, families who have been forced to flee their homes face a deadly new threat, having already lost everything. Overcrowded living conditions and lack of access to clean water and washing facilities, mean the impact of Covid-19 here would be catastrophic. In countries like Yemen, where people are living with conflict and war with weak health systems and existing issues such as malnutrition, the effects of the virus could be disastrous.

Solution

Your donation could help provide hygiene kits, hand washing stations and access to clean water for those who desperately need it. It could help give vulnerable communities training in hygiene practices, or provide PPE for frontline medical staff. Your gift could support families who are already deprived with food assistance, to cushion the impact of the virus. We’re delivering vital aid now, but urgently need your help to scale up our response to prevent countless cases and save lives.
