The Christmas at Home project will support young cancer patients with limited time. Funds raised will help give young cancer patients and their families a chance to enjoy Christmas at home instead of in hospital, or perhaps move Christmas forward if time is limited.

    Situation

Many families the charity supports are on a low income as a result of giving up work in order to care for their child. This means that when faced with the devastating news that there are no further treatment options available, they simply cannot afford to do the special things that they so desperately want to do with the limited time they have. Each year the charity has a surge of requests from families who wish to hold an extra-special Christmas or celebrate earlier in December.

    Solution

Christmas at Home will provide the funds for young palliative patients and their families to enjoy a "normal" Christmas away from hospital and create happy and lasting memories together. Some families with very limited time may choose to hold their Christmas celebration early. We understand how precious time is for the families we support and can make things happen incredibly quickly so that they can concentrate on spending quality time together.
