    Situation

Owing to the ongoing lack of progressive music educational opportunities in schools, students who are passionate about music need to pay if they want to further their studies. Not all families are in a position to offer such financial help. FYM bursaries allow all talented young Londoners access to a high-quality music education, regardless of family background, situation or means to pay.

    Solution

By providing financial support for those students in need, to attend CYM every Saturday, which enables them to benefit from a variety of different activities including individual lessons on their chosen instruments, playing in ensembles, bands and orchestras including London’s premier youth orchestra, the LSSO, during school holidays), singing in choirs, composing their own music, and learning general musicianship skills and about the wider aspects of performing arts.
