    Situation

With a well-established artistic ecology East London should be the best place in the country for children and young people to have a creative education. However, less than a quarter of London schools interested in doing more with arts and culture reported being actively sought out by cultural organisations, resulting in so many children and young people missing out. Creative and cultural education is invaluable to a young person’s development, however, there continues to be barriers.

    Solution

The brokerage will deliver a coherent and consistent cultural offer so that we can reach as many children and young people as possible in East London through developing their schools' creative ethos and confidence in accessing creative assets on their doorstep. We have a dedicated Creative Schools Manager to co-ordinate the service and offer this focused time to schools; deliver learning and partnership events such as networking, the annual symposium.
