Situation
One in three disabled children desperately need specialist equipment and support but the sad truth is many are denied equipment, often because of excessive delays at statutory services. Half of all applications we receive are from families in emergency situations– their child may be in pain because they do not have appropriate equipment or at risk of significant injury.
Solution
With your support Newlife will lend more families a wide range of emergency equipment to meet short-term needs or as a grant to provide longer-term essential improvements. The charity runs the UK’s only service that delivers this equipment within just 72 hours, while our equipment grants provide an urgent “fast-track” need within 24 hours. Having the right equipment at the right time can not only save lives, but change lives too.
