Help more people to access affordable high-quality counselling in Winchester and wider the communities. Mental health does not discriminate, everyone should be able to access counselling mental health problems when they need it. We are the only charitable organisation in the area where clients are able to access up to 12 months of counselling. We firmly believe this approach enables clients to fully address their issues, to initiate change, and to embed a renewed wellbeing.

    Situation

Access to counselling for mental health problems is not readily available, with issues like waiting lists, being turned away or told the problem is too severe. We firmly believe, early action with mental health problems increases the chance of enduring wellbeing for the individual, their family, friends and workplace. Financial issues may prevent people from accessing counselling support they require, which can worsen symptoms or capacity to live a normal life.

    Solution

Ensuring affordable counselling is accessible to people on low or zero income : retired, elderly, unemployed, young people and those with financial stresses. Continue to offer high quality, long term and affordable counselling to all people in our community who need it, maintaining values of our roots, encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion. We will solve this problem by clearly working towards our growth and expansion in the future and continue to provide this service for service users.
