    Situation

Torbay is a local economy which suffers from high levels of deprivation and social disadvantage and is heavily reliant on seasonal nature of tourism. The Trust currently relieve heavily on funding from Torbay Council to fund the management of 1,750 acres of land.

    Solution

By developing Occombe Farm into a visitor attraction it will boost the economy by offering another 60 jobs as well as increasing visitors to the area as farm attractions are popular destinations for families. Occombe Farm will enable the Trust to become self- sufficient by providing an income stream. Visitor numbers will increase from 110,000 to 220,000.
