Situation

The global pandemic has forced people to stay apart. Many are facing issues of loneliness and isolation as a result of lockdown. As a nation, our mental health has been impacted and yet another challenge has created strong divides in public opinions and communities. We have also seen a complete shutdown of venues and theatres, a lifeline for audiences and artists alike. All earned income for many cultural organisations has completely disappeared and we cannot estimate when this will rebuild.

Solution

Bringing people together is a fundamental function of theatre and community events. Miracle wants to find new and safe ways to rebuild the experience of live theatre for audiences through developing new outdoor theatre productions and paving a gentle pathway to enable a return to touring and bringing people back together.
