IntoUniversity provides local learning centres where young people are inspired to achieve. We believe our students have been hardest hit by the COVID-19 crisis and will suffer long-term consequences to their education. Our established centres across London are uniquely placed to keep them on track.

Situation
IntoUniversity addresses the problem of educational inequality and social exclusion by supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their potential. Growing up in poverty greatly affects a child’s educational success and life outcomes. These students are less likely to attend university, more likely to suffer from ill health, and to be unemployed. The COVID-19 crisis has exacerbated these issues for our students across London, making our objectives more relevant than ever.
Solution
Our local learning centres across London work closely with families and schools over the long term, providing vital academic and pastoral support to young people and communities most in need. Through our innovative support programme, we raise students’ aspirations and knowledge of future pathways, enabling them to reach their goals. During the COVID-19 crisis and school closure period, we adapted our programme to a remote service ensuring no student was left behind.
