Our appeal #andhomeless aims to raise funds to provide the basic needs of someone facing homelessness and those living in poverty. People often come to us with nothin. Our Housing Support Unit provides support, advice and starter packs of essential equipment to help them with this transition.

Situation
There are more than 300,000 people in Britain homeless today. This includes; individuals, families, young people, those who are working and those who have retired. Being homeless and/or living in poverty, isn't just about not having a roof over your head. There are many other ways in which people can be affected by both of these issues. This may be mental health problems, drug and/or alcohol misuse, not having enough resources to support themselves or loved ones they might be living with.
Solution
Nugent's Housing Support Unit is one of our community services that helps people access temporary accommodation and our support workers provide practical support, advice and guidance to help people overcome and other challenges they may be facing that are stopping them from securing and maintaining long-term permanent tenancies. Our charity works with individuals and families to become more independent in being able to support themselves and their loved ones to maintain a place to live.
