    Situation

"If I'd been left to my own devices. I don't think I would have found that strength.” The women MASH supports are some of the strongest and most resilient women we’ve ever met. Heartbreakingly, women who sex work, particularly on the streets, are more likely to experience poor mental and physical health and face barriers in every aspect of society. Our work aims to boost health, wellbeing, confidence and safety and we work alongside women to unlock some of those social doors.

    Solution

"For 20 years of my life, they were the only people that knew whether I was dead or alive.” Through team of caseworkers, our women-only drop-in centre, our mobile drop-in vehicle (a specially adapted camper van which we take out onto the streets late at night) and our dedicated sexual health nurse, MASH builds trusted relationships with these women to keep them safer, healthier and more equipped to take control of their lives. We work with women where they are at.
