PANS PANDAS UK wish to raise funds to enable academics and medical professionals to undertake essential and long overdue UK led research and clinical trials to end the (mistaken) controversy surrounding these widely misunderstood and life-altering conditions.

Whilst treatment guidelines have been written these are not yet approved by the Royal Colleges and doctors remain poorly informed about the conditions and reluctant to treat, or believe the conditions to be controversial, despite The World Health Organisation giving PANDAS an ICD-11 code. This has lead to a lack of timely and effective treatment, increasing the traumatic impact of these conditions on both the child who is suffering and their families..
Solution
By undertaking UK led clinical trials and research, we strongly believe this will disprove the false beliefs surrounding the conditions allowing the existing treatment guidelines to be approved. The Royal Colleges will have to start offering training in the conditions thereby ensuring all doctors are aware of the symptoms and how to treat.and also reducing the anxiety and trauma experienced by those who suffer with the conditions and their families.
