For more than 20 years, we have been helping people in the most remote rural communities in Eastern Uganda to improve their quality of life. Through sustainable development programmes, we equip community leaders to introduce ways to grow food, provide skills training and support families in need.
It ran from 12:00 PM, 1 December 2020 to 12:00 PM, 8 December 2020

It has been a blessing to us, I am now doing seed collection to raise more trees for myself to planting...planting a tree means a lot than we thought we knew as a community
We remain almost forgotten by so many...we thank you for educating us
There is so much we don’t know about land and developing vocational skills amongst the young people in our community. I can learn so much with Dolen Ffermio
Ugandans have the ability and ideas and Dolen Ffermio does an amazing job to equip them to fulfil their potential
Deep in rural Eastern Uganda, communities have been literally left behind by society. Their infrastructure is almost non-existent, their health systems rudimentary, their education unaffordable and living environment degraded. This has meant poor food shortages, extreme poverty and poor hygiene, health and nutrition. These issues hit young people particularly hard, many of whom end up in the care of other families in the community.
Your donations will enable us to provide: • Permaculture training to develop household kitchen gardens We’ll also provide seeds to grow food • Training in planting and aftercare of fruit trees We’ll also supply tree seedlings • Training in hand-washing including how to make and maintain ‘tip-tap’ hand-washing stand We’ll also provide soap
