To support people and families affected by cancer and cancer poverty across the UK by giving them 'something to look forward to'. We will use funding to source gifts, experiences and essential items for those most severely financially affected by their cancer diagnosis and the Covid-19 Pandemic.

    Situation

    The issues our service will resolve are: • Social isolation • Personal isolation and loneliness • Reduced emotional health and wellbeing in cancer patients including low mood, anxiety and depression and inability to cope • Emotional impact on friends, family and carers including low mood, anxiety and depression; • Cancer poverty – the financial burden associated with a cancer diagnosis and Covid-19 • A change in and loss of identity • Reduced physical health

    Solution

    Our service will increases the well-being, relieve the stress and aid the recuperation of those who are experiencing the effects of cancer and its treatment, together with their carer’s and/or families by the provision of positive individual and/or family experiences, gifts and essential items. Via our comprehensive website, people affected by cancer can apply for provisions including cottage holidays, restaurant meals, complimentary therapies , clothes, toiletries, bedding and nightwear.
