    Situation

Hidden in Chipping Norton is the most deprived neighbourhood in West Oxfordshire where families are failing to thrive, youth have few opportunities and access to services is very limited. Income deprivation affecting children is in the highest 20% in the country and educational opportunities for school leavers are in the lowest 10% in the country. Over 90% of those we work with have experienced some form of family breakdown or trauma.

    Solution

These troubles mask hidden treasure. Working with local agencies we will listen, encourage and connect, providing advocacy support to those in crisis, a Debt Centre and Life Skills courses for those on a low budget, Freedom courses for those affected by domestic violence, art as therapy to help children process their emotions, holiday clubs, universal credit access and more.. We will also continue our Covid 19 response providing vital food and well-being support for those who are struggling.
