Future Talent

Help young musicians from low-income families 🎶

Help us double the number of gifted young musicians from low-income families that we support with financial bursaries, musical development, professional masterclasses and performance opportunities. Your donation will go towards helping the most vulnerable young people through the power of music.

  • This charity is a gem.

    — Sting CBE

  • It is of paramount importance for Future Talent to continue to break down the barriers between young people from low-income backgrounds. Now in our 15th year, we continue to extend our reach further across the UK and remain committed in our agenda to increase inclusivity across the musical world.

    — HRH The Duchess of Kent

  • There should be no barriers to enabling young musicians to succeed. I am very happy to support the work of this charity in developing musical talent where it is needed most.

    — Sheku Kanneh-Mason MBE

With 2.5 million children living in poverty in the UK, it is estimated 1,000 young people with exceptional musical abilities are failed by society every year. From financial difficulties to inequality of opportunity, young musicians can experience obstacles their entire childhood. We offer our young musicians the platform and opportunity to fulfil their musical talents, with the critical support necessary for them to follow their musical ambitions.

We support our musicians with financial bursaries, musical development, professional masterclasses, and performance opportunities, through our Young Musicians Development Programme: (1) Dedicated Relationship Manager (2) Expert mentoring from industry leaders (3) Orchestral days led by professional musicians from classical to pop (4) Performance opportunities from Buckingham Palace to Ronnie Scott's (5) Over £1,000 of bursaries to pay for lessons, courses, instruments and more
