Christmas will be different for all of us this year. For disabled children and their families this year may feel impossible. Many of our families have needed to shield, usual activities have closed, home-schooling feels impossible, family support may no longer be available and parents may be extremely worried about their jobs. Families with disabled children face average extra costs of £581 per month – isolation and poverty are real issues for the 13,700 children we are supporting.
Solution
By keeping our services running over the Christmas period KIDS have been transforming the lives of disabled children, young people and their families for 50 years. Our practical support across 80 services for families helps to relieve the pressures and stresses of family life at this time
