  • If it wasn't for Doorway I really don't know where I would be. I'm not even sure that I would be alive, but with their help I am thriving. I have self-esteem, I feel able to meet my challenges and I feel I have a support network I can rely on.

There are few places where homeless and vulnerably housed people can go to feel safe, and to get their most basic needs fulfilled. It's difficult for these members of our society to achieve what they need to without practical help. We are a non-judgemental organisation which believes that given the right environment and support everyone is capable of change.

We offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where everyone is welcomed, no matter what their personal history/background. We offer internet access, we give phones to rough sleepers who need to be contacted by the council, we give out food bags and offer a free hot lunch and a cooked breakfast twice a week. We advocate on behalf of people who can't do it for themselves and provide one to one support with benefit applications. We refer to physical and mental health providers and much more
